Hello, everybody! Max the Auteur here…

As a film enthusiast, avid literature reader, ardent writer, and aspiring filmmaker, I have created this site to discuss, critique, and analyze select entries from fantastic works of literature and its visual equivalent, cinema. Although I will be discussing films and books from all over the world, I will be putting an emphasis on those originating from Spain and the Spanish-speaking world, seeing as my family’s ancestral roots stem from there. Regardless, this is a place for me to share my innate knowledge about the moving image and its handwritten counterpart, and about how the messages and techniques conveyed through film and literature can help us learn more about the human condition and the impact that our relationships and experiences have on other people and ourselves. I hope you will all follow me on this journey, and please, feel free to share my analyses with others and comment on them. It would further inspire me to continue on this quest. I hope you enjoy, and join me in brainstorming the fascinating world of film and literature. — Maximiliano “Max” Gonzalez
